With Clap to Find, locating your Android tablets and smartphones is going to be easier than ever.

Even if you try to keep a close eye on your mobile devices, you might still misplace those electronics every once in a while. While some mobile devices have built-in trackers, the GPS chip will only get you within a few yards of those electronics. Clap to Find is a useful app that gives you the ability to locate your phone or tablet with nothing more than a series of claps. As long as your device can recognize the claps, you should be able to find it.

This app only has a handful of basic features, but you will need to spend a few minutes setting it up. The download is relatively small, and Clap to Find should easily run on most modern Android devices. Once it is installed, you must then run through the tutorial if you want to get the clapping sequence down. In the default settings, all you have to do is clap three times within one or two seconds, but you can alter that sequence slightly.

You will also need to decide exactly what your phone or tablet does when you clap. You can either have the app play a custom ringtone or simply turn up the volume. This app also allows you to turn on the vibrate feature if you don’t want your phone to be too loud. After Clap to Find is set up, you should then be able to locate it with nothing more than a few loud claps.
